Fire Starter is the rebirth of my old (and very short-lived) Dilandau shrine, "Burning Scar", which was part of an old anime collective of mine. Dilandau is probably my favorite anime/manga villain, and I noticed a lot of the better Dilly shrines have gone offline for one reason or another, so I decided I would reopen my online tribute to the diabolical adonis. Burning Scar was very small, and I never did any major updates at all except for a few fanarts that a good friend of mine Ekaterini sent to me, so it went stagnant for well over a year until eventually I took the site down. Over time, my interest in Tenkuu no Escaflowne had declined a bit, but I still wanted to have a good Dilandau shrine even though there were so many other good Dilandau shrines. But that's when I surfed through my favorite Escaflowne links and noticed practically all of my Dilandau links were dead or lead to 404 pages. It inspired me to create an in-depth site to Dilandau and that's why I created Fire Starter.

The current layout of Fire Starter was just recently made after I decided that the shrine desperately needed a new look. It uses an image from Anime Project Alliance Gallery of Dilandau in a rare calm visage. Any and all brushes were courtesy of nocturna.net.
